Penguins and Stars Struggling to Find Their Form
Alright, let’s get into the action between Dallas and Pittsburgh here on Monday night. When you look at both teams, they’re really struggling. The Penguins have just one win in their last three games, while Dallas has one win in their last four. Both teams are having trouble lighting the lamp—Dallas has scored only one goal in their last game, and Pittsburgh has managed three and two goals in recent outings. That’s definitely not going to get it done.
The Penguins did pick up a win last time out to end their two-game losing streak, so we’ll see if they can build on that.
Expected Lineups and Head-to-Head History
For this matchup, both teams have had a couple of days off, so they’ll be rested, with no advantage in that regard. I’m expecting Nedeljkovic to get the start for the Penguins, while Dallas will likely start Oettinger. Neither goalie is confirmed, but that’s who I expect to see in the net.
Head-to-head, Dallas won both meetings last season with scores of 4-2 and 4-1. I’m expecting a similar result this time, with Dallas having the edge.
Betting Lean and Goal Total
I lean towards the Stars to get the job done, but with the goal total set at six and a half, I think that’s just a touch too high. I’d take the under here. Looking at the last 10 head-to-head matchups, the under is 8-1-1 between these two teams, so I’d recommend taking the under on Monday night.
Have a wonderful Monday, everyone! Thanks for tuning in, and for those who served, have a great Remembrance Day. Thanks for your service. Have a good one, and I’ll catch you on the next one!
