Carolina vs. Vegas Game Analysis
Alright, let’s get into this matchup: Carolina vs. Vegas, the late game here on Monday night. Carolina is coming off a loss, having their eight-game winning streak snapped by Colorado, losing 6-4 last time out. Now, they’re coming into Vegas, which is a tough place to play. Vegas is 8-0 at home this season, and they’re a big underdog in this one, while Carolina is a -130 favorite. Not sure if the books are disrespecting Vegas or trying to bait us into picking Carolina, but it’s interesting to note.
Head-to-Head History and Recent Performance
Head-to-head, Carolina has won the last two meetings, but that was last season. The season before, Vegas won both meetings. Given how strong Vegas is at home and after losing to the Kraken in overtime last time out, I expect Vegas to step up and make some noise here, continuing their home dominance where they’ve been scoring five or more goals regularly. If you want to beat them here, you’re going to need to score at least five or six goals to keep up with Vegas at home this season.
Final Pick and Game Day Outlook
We should see Adin Hill starting for Vegas in this one and likely Kochetkov in goal for Carolina. I’m going with Vegas as the big home underdog for Monday night.
