Army vs. North Texas Analysis
Now, on to this play between Army and North Texas. The current line suggests that Army quarterback Bryson Daily will either not play or, if he does, he won’t be at 100%. Last week against Air Force, we saw just how important he is to the Army offense; without him, they really struggled to move the ball, even against a weak Air Force defense. So, whether he plays or not, we’re going to be on the Mean Green with the points.
The best offense Army has faced this year is East Carolina, and they had a tough time covering East Carolina’s wide receivers. North Texas comes into this game with the third-ranked offense in the country, averaging nearly 528 yards. I think Army’s going to have a tough time keeping up with North Texas.
Final Thoughts: Take North Texas and the Points
Now, I know the Mean Green defense isn’t the best in the world—in fact, it’s pretty bad. But they’ve had an extra week to prepare for this game, and I think they’ll do just enough to slow down the Army triple option. I believe North Texas wins this game straight up, but I want you to grab the points just to be safe.
