Pistons vs Hornets Player Props Picks

On paper, this matchup between the Hornets and the Pistons won’t blow you away but we still have opportunities to cash in on this game when it comes to a player prop perspective. The Pistons are coming into this one on back-to-back wins against the Lakers and Nets. On the other end, the Hornets are still trying to find their groove losing 4 of their last 5. Below are three player props that i’m eyeing up.

Lamelo Ball Over 25.5 PTS -120

LaMelo Ball is off to a strong scoring start for the Charlotte Hornets. He’s currently averaging 28.6 points per game across his first seven games. Ball has been efficient from the field, shooting 46.6%, with 39% accuracy from three-point range, hitting an average of 4.6 threes on 11.7 attempts per game. Additionally, he’s been reliable at the free-throw line, converting 85.7% of his shots there. Ball has also contributed with 5.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, showcasing his all-around offensive abilities. Lamelo is absolutely carrying this Hornets offense on his back. He’s averaging over 28 PTS per game where no one else in this starting lineup is averaging more than 13 PTS. He’s gotten over this line in all but two games this season and we’ve seen him put 30+ in four games this season. We saw him have a tough night against the Timberwolves his last time out only putting up 19 points which is tied for the fewest amount of points he’s had this season. We should see Lamelo get back to his old ways against the Pistons. This Hornets team is struggling and they’ll need to win these more favorable matchups if they want to have any success this season. I expect a nice bounce-back game for Lamelo.

Brandon Miller Under 4.5 Reb +110

Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets has shown consistent rebounding efforts early in his games, though he has generally posted modest numbers in this category.  Brandon Miller hasn’t been a presence in the paint so far when it comes to snagging boards through the two games he has played. He’s only averaging 2.3 rebounds per game and we continue to see his line set at 4.5. Vegas expects Miller to pick it up when it comes to rebounds but I’m looking to continue with the trend and take the under. This Detroit team has actually shown a lot of effort in the paint which is a big reason why they’ve been able to win and keep games close in certain spots. They’re currently allowing 47.4 rebounds per game which is the 2nd fewest rebounds per game to opposing teams so far this season. I expect Brandon Millers rebounds per game to improve as the season goes on but I don’t it’s going to be in this spot.

Cade Cunningham Over 7.5 AST -140

Cade Cunningham is averaging 7.4 assists per game over eight games, showing consistent playmaking ability as the primary facilitator for the Detroit Pistons. His high assist numbers come alongside strong scoring, where he’s averaging 23.3 points per game, highlighting his dual role as both a scorer and a playmaker for his team. Cade’s performance reflects a balanced output, contributing significantly to the Pistons’ offense with an increased minutes load per game at 35.9?. The Hornets are currently allowing the 2nd most assists per game to opposing teams. We saw last game in the Pistons win against the Lakers Cade put up 11 assists in that game which was his season high so far. This team typically has played better when Cade is sharing the ball and other guys are scoring to take the load off his back. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw another double-digit assist night from Cade on Wednesday.
