Head coach Jeremy Ballard returns after that dismal season. This is his seventh season.

Cal Poly and San Francisco Team Profiles
Cal Poly at San Francisco 10PM ET—San Francisco was a 23-win team last year and earned an NIT berth. Head coach Chris Gerlufsen returns for his third season. The Dons program has consistently had 20 plus win seasons. They have done this in 7 of their past 8 seasons. Three starters return to a program that was 37th nationally in defensive efficiency and 12th best shooting from two. They were 16th nationally in defensive rebounding. Cal Poly finished 4-28 last year and failed to win a game against the Big West. The Mustangs are ranked 346th by Ken Pom entering the season. Mike De George enters his first season with the school. He will play a quick shooting style utilizing transfers that lack size.
