This is David with Tonyspicks.com, here with a two-team college football parlay for Saturday, November 2, 2024. Another great slate of college football is upon us, so let’s jump into the parlay.
Game 1: Syracuse vs. Virginia Tech
The first game we’re going to look at is the Syracuse Orange taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies. Syracuse comes in off a horrific performance in their last game against Pittsburgh. I think McCord threw three pick-sixes, four interceptions in total—something like that. But, I mean, it was over before it started. It was just interception, score, interception, score—a terrible outing. Prior to that, they had played better; they beat NC State and UNLV. I’m going to take them with the points here against Virginia Tech. They’re getting four, so I’m taking Syracuse plus the four.
Virginia Tech, while looking better recently, are we sure they’re even very good? They’ve beaten up on some of the lower-tier teams in the ACC. Now, I will say they do look improved from where they were at the beginning of the season. But going on the road to play a Syracuse team that can throw the ball around and covering four is a big ask, in my opinion. Despite McCord’s struggles last week, this Syracuse passing attack is one of the top in the country, and I think they’ll find some success here, especially at home. So, I’ll take Syracuse plus the four at home.
Game 2: Tulsa vs. UAB
The second game we’re looking at is Tulsa taking on UAB, and I’m taking Tulsa with the points here. They’re catching two and a half right now. This is more of a fade on UAB than anything else. UAB has really struggled this season; I think they’re having some major issues in that locker room and with their head coach. They blew a lead last week against South Florida, got blown out by Army, blown out by Tulane, blown out by Navy. This Tulsa team—they’re not very good either, but they do have some momentum. They won last week, scoring 22 points in the fourth quarter to come back and win by one point. They have momentum, and I’m just fading this UAB side. So, give me Tulsa plus the two and a half.
