Free NBA Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic
Now, let’s get right into today’s free pick. We’ve got the Cavaliers at home against the Orlando Magic. The Cavaliers are 5-0. I knew it! I had them pegged as one of the top three teams in the East, probably just behind Boston. If Jared Allen stays healthy, he’ll give Boston all they can handle and more. So, the Cavs laying six and a half against Orlando? That’s just not enough. Orlando is an up-and-coming young team, but I don’t think they’ll match up against this Cavaliers squad.
Let’s look at the total—set at 217.5. The public is betting up the over, and it’s already dropped to 217.5 from an opening around 218. We’re going with the under here. The Cavaliers’ defense, with Wade in there, is much better than people give them credit for. I think they’re a top-five defense. Orlando has struggled on the road, losing to the Bulls and having two road losses overall. They did have a win on the road, but that was in their first game of the season.
