Game Analysis: Knicks vs. Cavaliers
This pick is going to be a total investment in the NBA. We’re looking at the Knicks hosting the Cavaliers. The Knicks have dominated this series 4-1, but this Cavaliers team is 3-0 to start the season. They’re big, they’re talented, and they’re going to give the Knicks some problems. The Knicks were manhandled by the Celtics but then came back to beat the Pacers. The issue with the Pacers, though, is rebounding; Towns and Hart both got double-doubles against them, and the Knicks outrebounded them by a ton.
My Pick: Taking the Under on the Total
Now, the Knicks can be aggressive—sometimes overly so—but it’s still not the same Knicks team from last year’s playoffs. Towns is soft, and while I love Hart, he’s a Villanova guy, I’m going to take the under here. I think it’ll be a slow-paced game with a lot of missed shots and plenty of rebounding. The total is set at 222; it was 222.5, and it’s already down to 222. Let’s make sure we get on it before it drops to 221. 222 is the magic number—if it starts moving the other way, lights out on that one. It would become a top premium pick for me.
