However, they’re up against a Raiders team that’s in complete disarray—truly the “worst of the worst.” Right now, the Raiders’ offensive efficiency is sitting at a shocking 17 out of 100. That’s a concerning stat, to say the least.
Not only is their offense struggling, but they’re missing star receiver Davante Adams, adding to the instability in the locker room. A constant quarterback carousel isn’t helping their chances either, and defensively, they’re failing to hold their ground. The Raiders’ only shot here would be to target Patrick Mahomes, but with the Chiefs’ defense ready to pressure, it won’t be easy.
Chiefs Defense and Predictions
The Chiefs’ defense excels at rushing the quarterback, recording hurry rates about 20% higher than the league average. This game looks like a perfect opportunity for the Chiefs to reset and play at their best, especially for Travis Kelce, who seems ready for a breakout performance. With defenses focused on Hopkins, Kelce could find more space to score—he’s historically been successful against the Raiders.
All in all, I’m taking the Chiefs today at -9.5. I expect a strong performance to cover the spread.
