Analyzing the Packers vs. Jacksonville Matchup

Alright, let’s get to that free winner. Just look around—Green Bay Packers everywhere. I love the Packers; they’re my favorite team. This week, they’re playing Jacksonville. The Packers are 5-2, while Jacksonville has only two wins this season. Honestly, Jacksonville’s performance has been disappointing. I had a bit of respect for Doug Peterson—after all, he was a Packer for a long time, backing up Brett Favre. Then he moved to Philadelphia with Andy Reid as the offensive coordinator, and eventually led the Eagles to a Super Bowl win.

Free Pick: Under 47.5 for Packers vs. Jaguars

The total for this game is set at 47.5. It was initially 49, but the public hammered that, bringing it down to 47.5. The Packers have been solid on defense, while Jacksonville has given up 30 or more points in three of their seven games so far. Could the Packers score 30? Sure, but they’ve also held three of their five opponents under 22 points. I think 47.5 is just a bit too high.

Even though the Packers focus on a run-heavy offense under LaFleur, they still pass a lot. Jordan Love may audible occasionally, but he’s prone to throwing a few picks. On the other side, Trevor Lawrence is hit or miss. Jacksonville had an easier matchup in London, but now they’re back home, which may shift things.

For my free pick, I’m taking the under 47.5—it’s an easy choice.
