Chiefs vs Raiders Prediction 10/27/24 NFL Week 8

Chiefs vs Raiders Prediction 10/27/24 – Week 8

Welcome to the bright lights of Sin City where the 2-5 Las Vegas Raiders are hosting their conference rival 6-0 Kansas City Chiefs.  Kansas City is well rested off a bye week while the Raiders got a big 32-13 loss handed to them from the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Chiefs coach Andy Reid has been notorious for coming up with a trick play off a bye so I can’t wait to see what he has in store. The Chiefs fans also travel well so this may even turn into a mini-Chiefs home game.  The Raiders need to get something going.  They have had this quarterback carousel this year, got rid of Davonte Adams and now they may be looking for a new coach.  But it’s a conference game so we never take anything for granted in this rivalry game.

Can the Kansas City Chiefs Win Tonight?

The Chiefs are always evolving.  They just picked up a potential game changer in DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Tennessee Titans and then they also re-signed running back Kareem Hunt because of injuries in both positions.  Patrick Mahomes is still just gliding along this season.  Mahomes averages 231.5 yards per game, has a 67.9% completion percentage, has 6 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.  Travis Kelce is the top receiver this season averaging only 40.8 yards per game and has zero touchdowns on the season.  Now that the defense must account for Hopkins, this will allow Kelce to find the soft spots in the Raiders zone defense.  Look for Kelce to finally have a breakout day!

  • Patrick Mahomes has thrown an interception in each game this season
  • Patrick Mahomes has thrown two or more touchdowns in the last 6 road games vs the Raiders
  • Kareem Hunt has scored at least one touchdown in 11 of 13 when the chiefs are favorites
  • Travis Kelce has scored at least 1 touchdown in his last 3 games vs the Raiders
  • Travis Kelce has recorded 91+ receiving yards in his last 6 games vs the Raiders

Can The Las Vegas Raiders Win Tonight!

Gardner Minshew II gets the nod at quarterback for the Raiders.  He averages 194.7 yards per game, has a 65.5% completion percentage with 4 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.  Alexander Mattison is the leading rusher for the Raiders and tight end Brock Bowers leads all pass catchers at 61.8 yards per game.  This Raiders organization has always relied on team speed and defense.  The defense this season has been bad so if they want to have any chance in this game, they better blitz early and often.  They also must take advantage of the Mahomes mistakes as he has not been careful with the ball this year.

  • Jakobi Meyers has scored at least one touchdown in each of his last 4 home games
  • 4 of the Raiders last 5 home games have gone over the total
  • Brock Bowers has recorded 71+ receiving yards in the Raiders last 3 games
  • Alexander Mattison has scored a touchdown in his last 4 home games
  • Gardner Minshew II Has thrown at least one interception in his last 6 games

Chiefs (-9.5) vs. Raiders – O/U 41 – Free Prediction for 10/27/2024

Here is all you need to know…the Chiefs have covered the spread in each of their last 6 road games.  The Chiefs play well on the road and Andy Reid doesn’t lose off a bye week.  There is absolutely zero offence occurring with this Raiders team.  On a scale of 1 – 100, 100 being the best, the Raiders are at 17.9.  The Chiefs are also going to give Minshew II a hard time as they hurry the quarterback 74.4% more than the league average.  Easy victory here for the Chiefs.
