Baltimore Ravens Recap
Baltimore started off the season in nasty fashion 0-2 (0-2 ATS), losing to the two-time Super Bowl champion Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season opener and to the Raiders, but since then, the Ravens have reeled off five straight wins (4-0-1 ATS), beating some pretty good teams in the Cowboys, Bills, Bengals, Commanders, and Buccaneers.
Against the Buccaneers in Week 7, Baltimore fell behind 10-0 before scoring 34 straight points at Tampa Bay in a 41-31 win. Lamar Jackson (15 TD, 2 INT) stayed hot throwing for five TDs and 281 yards and no interceptions. Derrick Henry led the rushing attack with 169 yards while Rashod Bateman pulled in four receptions for 121 yards and a TD.
Cleveland Browns Betting Recap
Cleveland continues to scuffle, losing its fifth straight game last week, 21-14 to their AFC North rivals, the Bengals in Cleveland in a game which saw the hosts suffer more injuries to their already depleted roster. After beating the Jaguars in Week 2, Cleveland has lost to the Giants, Raiders, Commanders, Eagles, and Bengals.
In the Bengals game last weekend, the Browns saw two QBs go down, as starter Deshaun Watson (Achilles) and backup Dorian Thompson-Robinson left the game with third-stringer Jameis Winston ending the game. Watson (IR) is now out, Thompson-Robinson practiced on Wednesday but Cleveland will go with Winston.

Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns Prediction
I am backing the Ravens. Baltimore is scoring points at will to start the season while Cleveland is struggling and will have their third-string QB at the helm. And besides the injuries at QB, the Browns also have some key players hobbled in DE Myles Garrett (Questionable), RB Nick Chubb (Questionable), and RB Nyheim Hines (Out for season).
The Browns haven’t won at Home yet and haven’t scored three TDs yet in a game. The Ravens have scored 21 TDs in their five-game winning streak and rank No. 2 in the NFL in converting on 3rd Down (50%). With Jackson healthy and passing and rushing well, Henry bringing his bruising rushing style to Crab City and reliable TE’s Mark Andrews (14.4 ypc, 3 TD) and Isaiah Likely (11.2 ypc, 3 TD), Baltimore is the pick here.
Shop around for a -8.5 if you can find it (DraftKings had it Wednesday), but with the Ravens averaging 35.0 ppg their last five, the Browns unable to score 20 points and starting their third-string QB, a double-digit win by the favorites is expected here.
