Game Preview: Timberwolves vs. Kings
Now, let’s get into the NBA. We know what the Minnesota Timberwolves are capable of. We saw them play against the Lakers, where they shot 41% from two-point range and 31% from three. The total for this game is set at 227.5.
The Sacramento Kings are historically a high-scoring team. They rested most of their key players, like Monk and Fox, who are known scorers. Fox, in particular, may be a bit underrated for his defense, but with Edwards on the floor, I think this game will be a shootout between the two teams.
Key Players to Watch
Sabonis is key here, but the real X-factor in this game was Mike Conley Jr. He had a rough night, going one of twelve from the field and three for three from the free-throw line. He only played 20 minutes before they pulled him out early—it was that bad. He managed to score just five points. I expect more from him in this upcoming game. If he plays better and makes even half of those missed shots, they could have beaten the Lakers.
We know how good Gobert is on defense, but I’m expecting more from Randle as well. He only scored 16 points and shot about 50% from the field. I think we’ll see a little more from him this time, as he’s not the type to take a lot of outside shots but rather plays around the rim.
Prediction: Expect a High-Scoring Game
I predict this game will score around 215-216, and I expect it to go over the 227.5 mark. That’s my free winner for you.
