LA Kings vs Montreal Canadiens Game Breakdown
Alright, for October 17th, we’ve got the LA Kings and the Montreal Canadiens. LA is playing right now—I had Toronto minus one and a half, and they’re up 4-0. I also had the over, so I’m hoping LA can do something here, but they’re looking drained. They’re looking pretty darn tired. Copley was supposed to start for LA tomorrow, but he had to come in during the second period today. We might have to go back to Rittich, but it just looks like they don’t have their legs on the road.
Montreal, on the other hand, just lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 6-3. It wasn’t a great game for them, so I imagine they’ll come out firing against the LA Kings. It should be Montembeault in net—he’s their best goaltender—and I think you’ll see them come out hard in the first period to avenge that terrible game they played against Pittsburgh.

So, I’m looking at the Montreal Canadiens’ first-period money line at -110 against the LA Kings. I wouldn’t even be opposed if you took the puck line here, as I could see Montreal beating up on LA. It’s probably going to take LA a while to get their legs going. As for the full game, I’m still going with Montreal.
