Game Breakdown: Denver Broncos vs New Orleans Saints 10/17/24

Now, let’s make this video quick and easy for you, so if you’re fast-forwarding, you can get right to the pick. We’ve got the Saints at home, and Sean Payton is coming back to face the team he took to the Super Bowl. You know those fans are going to go crazy when he comes in. The Denver Broncos have their quarterback of the future, Bo Nix. He’s been a bit inconsistent but is starting to find a rhythm. The problem is, there’s not much of a run game going on. I have Javonte Williams in my fantasy league, and I’ve only played him once because of a bye week. Other than that, the run game hasn’t been effective—it’s mostly Bo Nix taking off on his own.

As for the passing game, there’s still some inconsistency. It looks like Sutton is his go-to guy, but his former college teammate, Veil, has been getting more touches in the last couple of games.

Free NFL Total: Under 37 Points

Now, looking at the Saints—they’re on a short week and without Chris Olave, who is probably their number two receiver (maybe even their number one). Derek Carr is also out, so the quarterback situation is shaky. Denver, despite missing Patrick Surtain, still has a top-five defense, and I think they can counter. The Saints will likely focus more on Kamara, and they’ll try to make Bo Nix beat them with his legs, but I think they’ll have an answer for that.

I’m liking the under on this one. I saw the total drop to 37, and I really like the under 37 for my free NFL total on Thursday Night Football.
