Pittsburgh Penguins vs Detroit Red Wings 10/10/24 Game Analysis and Predictions
Alright. We’re looking at a free pick for the Detroit Red Wings and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Detroit is putting Husso in net, who has been out for a very long time. He’s been injured a lot. It’s not his fault necessarily, but he hasn’t played in a long time. And Pittsburgh, because Nedeljkovic is injured. And Jared just played last night against the Rangers, whom, by the way, we had the Rangers minus one and a half at plus 175—hit it.
Now we’re going over to Detroit and they’re putting Bobo West in net, who is an NHL goaltender. I slightly lean to the over here, but more than anything I would rather go draw first period at plus 175.
Both teams to score first period at plus 135 and draw full game at plus 300. Put those three picks in, and I’m pretty sure you’re gonna be sitting pretty at the end of the night. Even if one of them misses. Detroit really doesn’t have a strong team. Pittsburgh doesn’t really have a strong team. They’re both playing poor goaltenders here. This is the home opener for Detroit.
But Pittsburgh is coming off a really bad loss against the Rangers. I can’t imagine them being too happy about that. I think both of these teams are going to play hard, but I don’t think both of these teams are very good while they’re playing hard. I think both of these teams will go back and forth and we will see draws all through the game.
Final Thoughts
It’s going to be tight, could be high scoring. I would lean to the over, but I think it’s going to be back and forth right to the end. I could see a 3-3 going into the third period, going into overtime, which would push it over, but we would get our draw at plus 300.
