Saints at 49ers—New Orleans got past Arizona 16-14 on the road. Derek Carr went 2 of 6 for 12 yards. Spencer Rattler contributed 9 of 17 passes for 70 yards. Jake Haener hit 9 of 13 for 107 yards. They rushed for 3.5 yards a carry with a touchdown. New Orleans allowed 328 yards to the Cardinals with 145 rushing for 4.7 yards per attempt. San Francisco dropped a 17-13 decision at Tennessee. Joshua Dobbs connected on 14 of 20 for 146 yards and an interception. Branden Allen hit 7 of 13 for 98 yards. They rushed for only 67 yards but punched in two touchdowns. San Francisco allowed 336 yards to the Titans with 198 passing.
The Pick:
Derek Carr status is uncertain. He missed the second and third preseason game last year. There is a battle between Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler for the backup spot. The 49ers are expected to play a series or two. They will play more in the final preseason game. The backups are Brandon Allen, Joshua Dobbs and Tanner Mordicai. Prefer the 49ers quarterback rotation here. The Saints preseason rush defense is a concern as well. Play San Francisco -1.

Packers at Broncos—Green Bay comes off the 23-10 road win at Cleveland. Jordan Love completed both his passes. Sean Clifford hit 10 of 19 for 111 yards. Michael Pratt chipped in with 5 of 7 throws for 46 yards. Green Bay rushed for 155 yards averaging 4.6 yards per carry. On defense they held the Browns to 244 yards with 188 throw the air. Denver defeated Indianapolis 34-30 last week. Bo Nix hit 15 of 21 for 125 yards and a touchdown. Zach Wilson completed 10 of 13 passes for 117 yards. Jarrett Stidham went 4 of 7 for 37 yards and had an interception. They finished with 131 rushing yards with three touchdowns. Defensively the Packers allowed 283 yards to the Colts with 219 passing.
The Pick:
The teams met in a joint practice on Friday. Green Bay is expected to sit their starters. There is a back up battle between Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt. Zach Wilson and Jarrett Stidham are expected to get plenty of action on Sunday as they too are in a battle for at least the backup position. With backup jobs up for grab would expect to see plenty of throwing here. Both teams had success as well on the ground last week. Play Green Bay and Denver over 39.
