Los Angeles Angels vs Texas Rangers 6/13/2023 Picks Predictions Previews
The Los Angeles Angels will go against the Texas Rangers in MLB action at Globe Life Field, TX, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 8:05 PM ET. On Tuesday, Jaime Barria will make his 15th start of the year.
Barria pitched well in his previous start, allowing just two runs over five innings in a game the Los Angeles Angels won.
The veteran was outstanding, recording a 1.85 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, a 2-2 record, and 39 innings pitched while pitching out of the bullpen in April before being deployed as a starter.
In four innings of work versus Texas in May, Barria gave up one unearned run while posting a 2.58 ERA and a 0-2 record. The halos are attractive. Last week, they swept the Cubs and defeated the rival Mariners at home in a series.
Although winning the division is doubtful, the Halos have a fantastic chance in the wildcard, and there is pressure on them to make the playoffs this year. They have played ten games and are currently 6-4.
An outstanding.324 average and.845 OPS are being posted by Brandon Drury this month. The second baseman, who is 30 years old, has had a successful season, driving in 30 runs and posting a.788 OPS.
Drury is 3 for 8 with 1 RBI against Jon Gray and has three hits and one RBI this season against the Rangers. The Angels score 4.84 runs per game on average, ranking sixth.
The pitching staff’s 4.23 team ERA ranks them 17th overall.
The Angels’ relievers have pitched 83 save opportunities and a 65.7% save rate. Pitchers for the Angels started games 57 times with runners on base and made 70 appearances in high-leverage situations.
This season, the Angels used 195 different relievers.
- The LA Angels are 3-2 in their last five matches against the spread.
- The LA Angels are 17-16 against the spread in their road matches.

Los Angeles Angels vs Texas Rangers Predictions 6/13/2023
Jon Gray will start for the Rangers on Tuesday. The last time out, Gray returned to his former glory by pitching a complete game against the Cardinals, surrendering only one run over the course of nine innings.
The seasoned ace is a Cy Young contender and has the best season of his career. Gray has a dazzling 2.32 ERA, a 0.96 WHIP, a 6-2 record, and 73.2 innings of pitching.
He only threw 19.1 career innings versus the Angels, but in those innings, he compiled a 4.19 ERA and a 2-0 record. Texas continues to command the division’s top spot, well clear of Houston.
Due to poor pitching, they lost two out of the three games this past weekend in Tampa Bay, scoring 19 runs against them. The team excelled at home and only suffered nine losses all year.
Corey Seager is phenomenal this month, accumulating 11 RBIs and a stupendous OPS of 1.2. The 29-year-old shortstop would be among the league leaders if he did not miss time due to injury.
He has a 1.00 OPS and 34 RBIs. Seager had 13 RBIs and a.938 OPS last season against the Angels despite sitting out the first series against LA.
With a staggering 6.25 runs per game, Texas is first in the major leagues. With a team ERA of 3.71, the pitching is excellent, ranking seventh.
The Texas pitching staff allowed 251 runs while posting a 3.71 team ERA (233 earned runs allowed) throughout the season.
They gave up 60 long balls, ranking them sixth in the MLB for runs allowed per nine innings (4.00). The Rangers’ combined WHIP and FIP for the season are 1.187 and 3.83, respectively.
Their ratio of walks to strikeouts is 8.50 (533 walks to 176 bases on balls).
- The Texas Rangers are 2-3 in their last 5 matches against the spread.
- The Texas Rangers are 21-13 in their road matches against the spread.
- The totals went OVER in 4 of the Rangers’ last 5 matches.
