Ottawa Senators vs. Buffalo Sabres 4/13/2023 Picks Predictions Previews

The Brady Tkachuk-led Ottawa Senators are heading to New York for the last road trip of the season and invade KeyBank Center in Buffalo to face off with the Tage Thompson-led Buffalo Sabres in an NHL Atlantic Division rivalry battle on Thursday evening.

Ottawa comes into this division match-up following a massive win over the tough Carolina Hurricanes team to a score of 3-2 on Monday.

The Senators carried a record of two wins in a row and look for their third straight win to end the season with a battle against the Sabres.

Right-winger Claude Giroux led Ottawa’s offense with two goals and one assist while Left-wingman Tim Stutzle chipped in one goal and one assist in the winning effort.

The Ottawa Senators failed to reach the postseason stint this year but the team has young and talented skaters on their roster and that will make a difference to have a brighter future next season.

The Senators’ forward Tim Stutzle has had a great season this year after posting 38 goals, 50 assists, and 88 points in finishing just 77 games, not bad for a 21-year-old skater.

The Ottawa Senators are 2-4 SU in their last 6 outings and the Senators are 4-1 straight up in their last 5 matches played versus Buffalo.

Ottawa is 0-5 SU in their last 5 road games while the totals went UNDER in 9 of the Senators’ last 13 contests when playing on the road against the Sabres.

Ottawa Senators vs. Buffalo Sabres Predictions 4/13/2023

The Buffalo Sabres hobbled their way back home to get back from a humiliating road loss with a victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.

Buffalo at 40-33-7 lost their recent road match to the New Jersey Devils to a horrible score of 2-6 that snapped a three-game winning streak on Tuesday evening.

The Sabres are hopeful to carry the momentum from that span and avenge their recent loss with a victory in their second-to-last contest remaining for the regular season.

Left-wingman Jeff Skinner and Defenseman Mattias Samuelsson punched in one goal apiece in leading the offense for Buffalo in the losing effort.

The Buffalo Sabres are another unfortunate team that ended up eliminated from the postseason contention even though having improved greatly with a cluster of young players came into their own future in the league.

Right-wingman Tage Thompson is one of the players that stand as the backbone of the team as he carried Buffalo into this season’s end.

Thompson is having a great season with the Sabres as he totaled 46 goals on 287 shots made, 47 assists, and 93 points in playing for just a total of 77 games for the year.

Defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is the no.1 set-up man with 57 assists this season.

The totals went OVER in 4 of Buffalo’s last 6 outings while the Sabres are 5-2 SU in their last 7 games played.

The totals went UNDER in 6 of Buffalo’s last 6 contests played versus Ottawa and also went OVER in 10 of the Sabres’ last 14 home matches.

Ottawa Senators vs. Buffalo Sabres. The NHL Pick for this contest is Buffalo -138.

This competition is nothing less than just a battle of pride as both teams have been eliminated already from playoff contention and actually have nothing to lose anymore.

Watch young studs like Left-wingman Tim Stutzle of the Senators and Right-winger Tage Thompson of the Sabres add a few more points to their scorebook as this contest will be having more offense than defense.

The prediction, Buffalo Sabres will win 5-4.
