Edmonton Oilers vs Colorado Avalanche Predictions 4/11/2023

With their offense rising up and producing 3.35 goals per game with 24 goals in the last five games, the Avalanche are starting to resemble the squad that won the Stanley Cup a year ago.

The top two lines, Mikko Rantanen, Nathan MacKinnon, and J.T. Compher, combined for 110 goals and 151 assists, but the entire offense was excellent.

The defenseman Cale Makar and Devon Toews contributed 23 goals and 90 assists from the point to help open up the attack, while Valeri Nichushkin, Evan Rodrigues, and Alex Newhook scored 46 goals and 66 assists collectively.

While the attack excelled, the defense also improved, surrendering only 2.73 goals per game overall and just 14 in the past five contests.

Erik Johnson, Samuel Girard, and Bowen Byram collaborated for 7.2 defensive point shares to give the team depth, while Makar and Toews contributed 11.3 defensive point shares and 213 blocked shots.

Also outstanding was goalie Alexandar Georgiev, who has a.918 save percentage, a 2.54 goals-against average, and 25.7 goals saved above average on 1823 shots.

  • The total went OVER in 5 of Colorado’s last 5 matches.
  • The Colorado Avalanche is 5-0 SU in their last 5 matches.
  • The Avalanche is 4-2 SU in their last 6 matches at home.

Edmonton Oilers vs Colorado Avalanche. The NHL pick for this game is the Colorado Avalanche. This game between the top two clubs in the league is going to be fantastic.

The Avalanche hope to dominate this match on their home ice despite the Oilers’ seven-game winning streak.

With Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen, and the rest of the forward group pushing the puck into the offensive zone and producing open shots with short passes while Cale Makar generates shots on goal from the blue line, the Avalanche, who produce 3.35 goals per game, should pile on the goals.

With Cale Makar, Devon Toews, and the rest of the defense unit forcing turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on goal, the Avalanche, who only permit 2.73 goals per game, should be able to contain the Oilers’ offense and give goaltender Alexandar Georgiev plenty of opportunities to make crucial saves.

Colorado will win to a predicted score of 7-2.
