The Los Angeles Lakers (42-39; 40-39-2 ATS) are returning from a Friday victory over the Phoenix Suns at home (121-107).

It was the Lakers’ fifth victory in six games as they recovered from a difficult 125-118 loss to the LA Clippers. The Lakers limited the Suns to just 45 points in the second half.

Purple and Gold had a 25:16 assist-to-turnover ratio while shooting 18 for 36 from beyond the arc.

Austin Reaves had 22 points and 5 assists, D’Angelo Russell topped the Lakers with 24 points, and Anthony Davis finished with 14 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.

LeBron James finished with 16 points and six assists despite only shooting 6-for-19 from the floor.

The No. 7 seed in the Western Conference is shared by the Lakers and the Pelicans. With a win over the Jazz, they would clinch the seventh spot because they hold the advantage in the tiebreaker over the Pelicans.

Dennis Schroder, who missed the Suns game because of a neck issue, could be missed by the Lakers.
