The Oklahoma City Thunder are situated in the middle of a confusing muddle of standings in the Western Conference.

They share the tenth seed, the last available play-in place, with the Dallas Mavericks. Dropping three of their last four games did not help, but the Thunder are still in it since Dallas was not much better.

The eighth-place team is only two matches ahead of them, so a couple of victories may help them advance fast as well.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, an All-Star who was sidelined due to an ankle strain, did not play in Tuesday’s defeat. He’ll be iffy once more for this one, and the Thunder appears to be in desperate need of him.

At one point in the fourth quarter, OKC was down by 13, but a ferocious comeback tied the score at 132.
