The Connecticut Huskies are happy to record a victory. They went on a terrible three-game winless skid, which surprised me given how strong they were in non-conference play.

With a commanding 86-56 victory over Butler at home on Sunday, UCONN ended its three-game losing streak and covered the huge 15-point spread.

The Huskies dropped six of their previous seven games and are now 5-5 overall and in conference play. Only three times in Big East play they covered the spread.

The Huskies dropped four positions to #19 in the AP Top 25 and are ranked sixth overall in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings.

They have a home record of 11-1, with their lone loss coming against St. John’s earlier this month. UConn is 34th in the nation with a 79.3 point per game average this season.

They had trouble stopping teams from scoring in conference games, holding them to 63.5 points, which ranks them 38th in the nation.
