The Friars recently suffered two straight losses on the road at Creighton and No. 20 Marquette, but on Saturday they defeated DePaul at home by a score of 75-64.

In the victory, sophomore forward Bryce Hopkins recorded his eighth double-double of the year with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while senior guard Noah Locke made seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 29 points.

The Xavier Musketeers continue to lead the Big East, with Providence trailing by one game.

Hopkins leads Providence in both scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, which places second in the Big East. Five players for the Friars average more than 9 points each contest.

The Bulldogs held Hopkins in check while Providence defeated Butler earlier this year. He only managed six points and eight rebounds, both season lows.
