Colorado Avalanche vs Calgary Flames Predictions 1/18/2023

The Calgary Flames are returning home after a stressful road loss to the Nashville Predators and will try to rebound by hosting the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night.

Calgary at 21-15-9 with 15 points occupied the middle rank in the Pacific Division and the Western Conference this season.

The Flames look to bounce back from a 1-2 road loss to the Nashville Predators that ended a two-game win streak last time out.

Calgary earned their lone goal of the match when Defenseman Nikita Zadorov nailed his seventh goal of the season on assists from Center Mikael Backlund and LW Andrew Mangiapane.

The Calgary Flames are four points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference but that will just be temporary as the Avalanche is recovering from multiple injuries that crippled their roster and Colorado’s players are getting back to full health.

Calgary will rely on its competent Center Elias Lindholm who led in scoring with 40 points and in assists with 26 while Center Nazem Kadri led in goal scoring with 17 this season.

The totals went UNDER in 8 of the Flames’ last 11 contests and Calgary is 8-4 straight up in its last 12 home outings.

The Calgary Flames are 1-4 SU in their last 5 matches when playing at home versus Colorado and the totals went UNDER in 7 of Calgary’s last 10 games played against a rival from the Western Conference.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Calgary Flames. The NHL Pick for this contest is Colorado +105. Both teams are looking to gain a stronghold for their spots in the standings.
