Edmonton Oilers vs Anaheim Ducks Predictions 1/11/2023

The Anaheim Ducks struggled in their last home defense after scoring just one goal while giving away seven to the Boston Bruins.

Anaheim is 12-25-4 on 28 points overall and 8-11-1 at home and will try to get back from their recent home loss by hosting the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night.

The Ducks lost three of their last five contests played following a six-point loss to the Boston Bruins at 1-7 that snapped a two-game winning streak on Sunday night.

Trevor Zegras scored the only goal for Anaheim on assists from Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano in the losing effort. The Ducks lost even a very small chance of getting a wildcard spot this season.

The Anaheim Ducks will be missing the postseason competition but they can look for a better future in the hockey league with their young skaters like Trevor Zegras, Mason McTavish, and Troy Terry.

Forward Troy Terry is the Ducks’ workhorse with a team-leading 12 goals, 21 assists, and 33 points record for the season.

Trevor Zegras also chipped in 12 goals with a second team-high 19 assists for 31 points on 100 shots. Mason McTavish added 9 goals, 17 assists, and 26 points for Anaheim.

The totals went UNDER in 6 of the Ducks’ last 9 matches and Anaheim is 6-14 straight up in its last 20 outings played.

The totals went OVER in 7 of the Ducks’ last 7 games played versus Edmonton and Anaheim is 4-8 SU in its last 12 home contests.

Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks. The NHL Pick for this contest is Edmonton -250. This will be a very big mismatch between these teams as the Oilers will be facing one of the NHL’s worst teams.

Edmonton’s best player Connor McDavid and the Oilers’ second-best skater in Center Leon Draisaitl will give the Ducks too much problem in this match-up. The prediction: Edmonton Oilers will win 4-2.
