The Syracuse Orange once had a 6-0 record, but that feels like a long time ago. In addition to beating Purdue of the Big Ten and a tenacious UConn squad that defeated Boston College, they also defeated Louisville, Virginia, and NC State of the ACC during that stretch.

The Boston College Eagles‘ season was a complete disaster. They are currently in last place in the ACC’s Atlantic Division with a record of 3-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

They recently suffered a humiliating 44-0 loss to Notre Dame in South Bend. The spread for Notre Dame was 20 points.

It was a bitter pill to chew because BC just earned a rare victory, defeating NC State 21-20 on the road the week before.

In contrast to the Irish, the Eagles only managed to gain a total of 173 yards, while Notre Dame gained 437. Compared to BC’s 10, Notre Dame had 22 first downs.

Oh, and the Eagles committed five turnovers, counting three interceptions. Emmett Morehead, the Eagles’ quarterback, had a performance he’d prefer to forget, going 9 of 22 for 117 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

There weren’t many standout plays because Alex Broome was the leading rusher and only gained 25 rushing yards, while Zay Flowers grabbed three catches for 46 yards.
