USC Trojans vs Arizona Wildcats Predictions 10/29/2022

After enjoying their Week 8 bye, the Arizona Wildcats (3-4; 4-3 ATS; 1-3 conf.) will attempt to end their two-game losing streak on Saturday.

The Wildcats suffered a 49-39 loss at the Washington Huskies in Week 7 after falling to the No. 12 Oregon Ducks 49-22 at home.

The Wildcats gained a total of 526 yards while playing as 14.5-point road underdogs, but they were unable to make any stops on defense as Washington amassed a total of 595 yards.

Against the Huskies, sophomore Jayden de Laura exploded for 400 yards and four touchdowns, while wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan and Dorian Singer combined for 231 yards and three scores on 13 grabs.

The Wildcats are generating 31.6 points per game (tied 55th in the USA) on 334.4 passing yards (5th) and 130.7 running yards from De Laura, who threw for 2,274 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 2022. (93rd).

Arizona’s defense really has to improve. The Wildcats are giving up an outrageous 36.3 points per game (124th),  246.7 passing yards (92nd), and 207.4 rushing yards (tied 122nd).

  • The total went OVER in 4 of Arizona’s last 5 matches.
  • The Arizona Wildcats are 4-16 SU in their previous 20 matches.
  • The total went UNDER in 6 of the Wildcats’ last 8 matches against Southern California Trojans.

#10 USC Trojans vs Arizona Wildcats. The NCAAF pick for this game is the #10 USC Trojans. The Wildcats, who permit 5.8 yards per run, will not be able to handle the flowing attack of the Trojans.

USC will freely move the ball, and Travis Dye will torment Arizona’s run defense. In 2021, while playing for the Oregon Ducks, Dye gained 92 yards against the Wildcats on only five carries.

Herewith, I’m supporting the Trojans to resume their winning ways and to do it while covering a 15-point spread. Even if USC struggles on defense, they are still a far superior team than Arizona.

The Trojans covered the spread in three of their past four trips to Arizona Stadium, but the Wildcats are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games with them. The #10 USC Trojans will win to a predicted score of 45-27.
