The NBA preseason continues as the San Antonio Spurs visit Vivint Arena in Salt lake City to take on the Utah Jazz on Tuesday evening.


The Spurs look for their first victory after losing their first three matches including their recent 97-111 loss to the Pelicans over the weekend. San Antonio (0-3) lost against Houston at 96-134 and Orlando at 99-102.


The Spurs dominated the 4th quarter at 31-24 but failed to equalize the 21 points deficit after the 3rd quarter of action. The San Antonio Spurs are yet to reach a 100-point score in their preseason games.      


Two of San Antonio’s key players will not be playing on Tuesday against Utah as PF Keldon Johnson and SF Josh Primo suffered from injuries.


PF Keita Bates-Diop contributed much on the offense for the Spurs in the preseason while talented young legs such as SF Devin Vassell and PG Tre Jones gained more playing time in each of the games.


PF Doug McDermott scored 14 points as the leading scorer for San Antonio in their recent loss to New Orleans while Center Gorgui Dieng controlled the board for the Spurs with 9 rebounds and added 10 points in the contest.

The Utah Jazz will try to defend their home court on Tuesday night. The Jazz lost to the Raptors at 82-114 in their season opener on October 2 but managed to bounce back by beating the Trail Blazers at 118-101 on October 4.


PG/SG Jordan Clarkson led the scoring for Utah with 19 points versus Portland while PG Mike Conley Jr. chipped in 16 points and SG/PG Collin Sexton contributed 13 points in the winning effort. S


F/PF Jarred Vanderbilt grabbed 7 boards while Center Kelly Olynyk dispensed 6 assists with 12 points for the Jazz. 


The Utah Jazz acquired new talents to beef up their arsenal after a trade agreement for Donovan Mitchell and losing some players through free agency.


Utah needs time to get acquainted with some new faces this preseason and putting PF Lauri Markkahan, PF Jarred Vanderbilt, PG Mike Conley, and SG/PG Jordan Clarkson in the first five against San Antonio on Tuesday will be the start.


PG Collin Sexton and SF Malik Beasley will be coming off the bench to reinforce the offense for the Jazz versus the Spurs.
