Arkansas St is 2-3 following their 45-28 home win to UL Monroe. Red Wolves held the War Hawks to 290 yards with 138 passing on 20 passes. Florida St transfer quarterback James Blackman completed 78.1% in the win with two touchdowns and 7.9 yards per attempt.
Dukes in their lone road game put up 376 yards on App St in their win but ran for only 3.7 yards per attempt. Red Wolves have covered all games this season and have defended well at home. Play Arkansas St +11.
Washington St vs. USC College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Washington St at USC—Washington St improved to 4-1 with their 28-9 home win to California. Strong defensive performance by the Cougars holding the Golden Bears to 31 rushing yards on 24 carries. WSU run game sputtered with only 72 yards on 25 carries.
Incarnate Word transfer quarterback Cameron Ward did complete 67.5% in the win with 8.6 yards per attempt. He had three touchdown passes but two picks. He has thrown two interceptions in three of his past four games. USC 5-0 after their 42-25 home win to Arizona St but didn’t cover the 24.5.
Trojans a better offensive performance than when they scored 17 at Oregon St. They failed to cover by allowing 243 passing yards on 32 attempts. Quarterback Caleb Williams did complete 73%, three touchdowns, one pick and 9.4 yards per attempt in the win.
On the season Williams 67.3% completions and 8.8 per attempt. Cougars road offensive performance poor with only 253 yards. Trojans offense has been outstanding at home. Cameron Ward’s interception issue huge here. Play USC -12.
Clemson vs. Boston College College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Clemson at Boston College—Clemson moves to 5-0 after their 30-20 home win to NC State. Clemson covered behind a strong defensive performance holding the Wolfpack to 279 yards shutting down both run and pass. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei completed 70% of his passes with a touchdown and 7 yards per pass attempt.
On the season the Tigers signal caller 65.4% completions with 7.8 yards per attempt. Boston College 2-3 with their 34-33 home win to Louisville. A season high 454 yards performance in the win. They did limit Louisville defensively run and pass.
Notre Dame transfer quarterback Phil Jurkovec completed 85.7% of his passes, three touchdowns, a pick and 14.5 yards per pass attempt. On the season Jurkovec 64% completions and 7.6 per attempt. They did win despite a -2 turnover margin. BC running poorly this year with 2.5 yards a carry and allowing 3.6 sacks a game.
Tigers in a recent road game did give up 311 passing yards at Wake Forest. Eagles not a consistent enough offense or replicate last week’s offensive performance. Run game isn’t helping Jurkovic and he is getting sacked. Play Clemson -20.5.
Kansas St vs. Iowa St College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Kansas St at Iowa St—Kansas St moves to 4-1 after their 37-28 home win to Texas Tech. Wildcats clobbered the Red Raiders on the ground with 343 rushing yards on 39 carries. They did give up 359 yards passing on 48 attempts. Wildcats had a +3 turnover margin.
Quarterback Adrian Martinez did complete 63.2% a touchdown with 6.1 yards per attempt. Martinez ran for 171 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. On 72 rushing attempts he has avoided the injury bug which hampered his three seasons at Nebraska.
Iowa St fell to 3-2 with their 14-11 road defeat at Kansas. Offense produced only 313 yards with 26 rushing on 30 carries. Cyclones defensively held the Jayhawks to only 213 yards. Quarterback Hunter Dekkers a season low 62.5% completion with 6 yards per attempt. He was sacked five times.
On the year Dekkers completing 69.3%, 11 touchdowns, 6 picks and 7 yards per attempt. Cyclones defense outstanding this season. Wildcats in their road game gave up 550 yards to Oklahoma but still managed to win that game. Cyclones playing the better defense and at home. Play Iowa St +1.5.
BYU vs. Notre Dame College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
BYU vs. Notre Dame—BYU improved to 4-1 after their 38-26 home win to Utah St. Cougars run game generated 4 yards a carry limited the Aggies ground game to just over 4 yards a carry as well. Quarterback Jaren Hall did complete 63% in the win with three touchdowns and 10.1 yards a carry.
On the season Hall completing 70.2%, 12 touchdowns, 1 pick and 8.4 per attempt. Notre Dame is 2-2 with their 45-32 road win at North Carolina. Fighting Irish moved the football for 576 yards in the win. The run game came through with 287 yards on 51 carries. T
hey did limit the Tar Heels run game but allowed 301 yards passing on 32 attempts. Quarterback Drew Pyne did complete 70.6% of his throws, 3 touchdowns and 8.5 yards per attempt. On the season Pyne 69.8% completions with 7.3 per attempt.
Game is played in Las Vegas on a fast playing service. Cougars couldn’t match the physical play and speed of Oregon on the road in their 41-20 defeat giving up 439 yards. Play Notre Dame -3.5.

South Carolina at Kentucky—South Carolina improved to 3-2 after their 50-10 home win to FCS South Carolina St. They rolled up 404 yards on their FCS opponent. They limited the Bulldogs to 222 yards for the game.
Quarterback Spencer Rattler on the season completing 64.9% of his passes, four touchdowns, seven picks with 7.4 yards per attempt. Kentucky fell to 4-1 after their 22-19 road defeat at Ole Miss. A botched field goal attempt in the closing seconds was costly in defeat.
Wildcats offense posted 328 yards struggling on the ground with 108 yards on 37 carries. They did allow 399 yards to the Rebels with 186 on the ground on 39 carries. Quarterback Will Levis did complete 75% of his passes, two touchdowns and 9.2 yards per attempt. Levis on the season 68.8% completions with 10 yards per attempt.
The signal caller is questionable with an undisclosed injury. Sophomore Kaiya Sheron is the back and the sophomore has attempted two passes in his college career.
With Levis injury would expect the Wildcats to keep the football on the ground with ball control. Kentucky defense has performed well. Play Kentucky and South Carolina under 46.5.

Iowa at Illinois—Iowa drops to 3-2 after their 27-14 home defeat to Michigan. Another poor offensive performance by the Hawkeyes shut out for the first three quarters. They finished with 281 yards with 35 rushing on 24 carries.
Iowa defended well limiting Michigan to 329 yards. Quarterback Spencer Petras completed 67.7% of his passes in defeat with a touchdown and 7.9 yards per attempt. Completion rate a season high. On the year Petras 55.2% completions with 6.2 yards per attempt.
Illinois 4-1 after their 34-10 road win at Wisconsin. Big defensive performance by the Fighting Illini holding the Badgers to only 208 yards with two yards rushing on 24 carries. Illinois ran heavily in the game with 137 yards on 42 carries. They benefitted by a +3 turnover margin.
Syracuse transfer quarterback Tommy DeVito completed 75% of his passes in the win with 7 yards per attempt. The signal caller on the season is completing 69.9% with 7.3 per attempt.
These are both two defenses putting up outstanding numbers and stopping the run allowing less than three yards per attempt. Petras improvement the key here. Play Iowa +4.

Sam Hartman completed 64.7% in the win with two touchdowns and 6.9 yards per attempt. Hartman on the season a career high 62.5% completion rate and 8.9 per attempt. Wake Forest doing a good job in run defense. Army pass defense a concern here. Play Wake Forest -16.5.
Coastal Carolina vs. UL Monroe College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Coastal Carolina at UL Monroe—Coastal Carolina moved to 5-0 after their 34-30 home win to Georgia Southern. Chanticleers moved the football for 485 yards rushing for 150 on 31 carries. They did give u p 462 yards to the Eagles with 178 rushing on 31 carries and 284 passing on 43 attempts.
Quarterback Grayson McCall did complete 67.6% in the win with 9.9 yards per attempt. He has thrown for three touchdowns in four of his five games. UL Monroe 2-3 after their 45-28 road defeat at Arkansas St. Warhawks offense only 290 yards in defeat.

Florida St vs. NC State College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Florida St at NC State—Florida St is 4-1 in their 31-21 home defeat to Wake Forest. Seminoles run game held to 112 yards on 28 carries. On defense they limited the Demon Deacons to over 3 yards a carry on the ground and surrendered 234 passing yards on 34 attempt.
Quarterback Jordan Travis completed 65.7% in defeat with three touchdowns and 8 yards per attempt. On the season Travis 66.4% completions, 8 touchdowns, 1 pick with 9.8 yards per attempt. NC State fell to 4-1 after their 30-20 road defeat at Clemson.

Texas A&M at Alabama—Texas A&M fell to 3-2 after their 42-24 road defeat at Mississippi St. Aggies ran for over four yards a game. Team struggled in pass defense in defeat allowing 329 yards on 45 attempts.
Starting quarterback Max Johnson out. Haynes King returns after his benching. In relief role last week, he completed only 46.2% with 2.8 yards per pass attempt. In his FBS games King averaging only 4.4 yards per attempt. Alabama 5-0 after their 49-26 road win at Arkansas.
Crimson Tide offense rolled with 555 yards running for 317 yards on 42 carries. Crimson Tide allowed 190 passing yards on 34 attempts. Bryce Young exited last week’s game with a shoulder injury and a game time decision.
Backup Jalen Milroe in a relief role threw only nine passes with 44.4% completions but ran for 91 yards on six caries and a touchdown. Possibly two backups under center here. Not confident in King to generate points on this Alabama defense. Play Texas A&M and Alabama under 48.5.
Oregon vs. Arizona College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Oregon at Arizona—Oregon improved to 4-1 with their 45-27 home win to Stanford. Ducks offense rolled up 515 yards in the win running for 315 yards on 37 carries. Oregon limited Stanford’s run game to 127 yards on 34 carries.
Quarterback Bo Nix a season low 55.2% completions with 5.6 yards per attempt and two touchdowns. He ran six times for 141 yards and two touchdowns. On the season Nix a career hit 68.9% completions with 7.8 yards per attempt. Arizona improved to 3-2 after their 43-20 home win to Colorado.
Wildcats a season high 673 yards with 178 rushing on 34 carries. They did surrender over five yards a carry to the Buffs. Quarterback Jayden de Laura a season high 71.7% completions in the win, six touchdowns and 10.5 yards per attempt.
Wildcats surrendering 5.9 yards a carry on the ground and 65.4% completions. Oregon pass defense giving up 282 yards, 69.5% completions and 7.5 per attempt. Two quarterbacks here in good form with good offenses behind them. Play Oregon and Arizona over 70.5.
Fresno St vs. Boise St College Football Pick Prediction 10/8/2022
Fresno St a Boise St—Fresno St fell to 1-3 after their 19-14 road defeat at UCONN. Bulldogs offense a poor performance with 187 yards. They did limit the Huskies to only 313 yards. Fresno St starting quarterback Jake Haener is out. Logan Fife did complete 72.7% in the loss with two interceptions and 7.1 yards per attempt.
Bulldogs only 30 yards rushing on 26 carries. Boise St is 3-2 with their 35-13 home win to San Diego St. Broncos recovered from a halftime deficit. Broncos ran for 316 yards on 44 carries. They held the Aztecs to just 114 yards with 33 passing.
Quarterback Taylen Green hit on 50% of his passes with a pick and 4.8 yards per rush. A running style quarterback who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Back to back road games without a bye for the Bulldogs after a long trip to UCONN.
With an inexperienced quarterback the Broncos will stack the line and force third and long. Running style quarterback adds a wrinkle into the prep for the Bulldogs defense. Play Boise St -7.5.

Quarterback Joey Yellen completed a season high 65% with a pick and only 4.3 yards per attempt. On the season Yellen 46% completions and 3.7 per attempt. San Diego St 2-3 with their 35-13 road defeat at Boise St. A dreadful offensive performance by the Aztecs with 114 yards.
They struggled defending a dual threat quarterback surrendering 316 yards on 44 carries. Quarterback Braxton Burmeister completed 25% of his passes with 4.1 yards per attempt. He left with a head injury in the Boise St loss but expected to play.
