The AL East favorites, who were a popular preseason World Series prediction, couldn’t quite keep up with the dominant Yankees over the course of an entire season, but they cruised to an easy wild-card bid thanks to a consistent rotation and world-beating offense.

Although Toronto’s season didn’t quite turn out as many hoped, the Blue Jays are still in the playoffs for the second time in three years and are aiming to win their first playoff game since 2016 and their first postseason series since winning the World Series in 1993.

The most intriguing aspect of the Blue Jays is their pitching rotation. With a 3.35 ERA and a superior 24.4 K-BB rate, Kevin Gausman, the rotation’s linchpin, proved that he has what it takes to be an ace.

In his second year, Alek Manoah is still outstanding (2.24 ERA). The inquiries multiply after those two. Jose Berrios was as unreliable as they come, and his ERA increased by over two full runs from the previous season.
