Tennessee vs. LSU College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Tennessee at LSU—Tennessee improved to 4-0 with their 38-33 home win to the Florida Gators. They were on a bye last week. Strong offensive performance for the Volunteers behind 576 yards. It was a balance attack at Tennessee ran for 227 yards on 42 carries.
On defense they contained the Gators run game but allowed 453 yards passing on 45 attempts. Quarterback Hendon Hooker threw for 349 yards, two touchdowns and 12.5 yards per pass attempt. On the season Hooker completing 71.7% with 10.6 yards per attempt.
In his road game the signal caller 64.3% completions and 7.7 per attempt in the win at Pittsburgh. LSU improved to 4-1 after their 21-17 road win at Auburn. They showed poise coming back from a 17-0 deficit starting the comeback on a 23 yard fumble recovery for touchdown.
Offense generated only 270 yards in the win with 185 rushing on 49 carries. They contained the Auburn run game but surrendered 337 passing on 39 attempts. ASU transfer quarterback just 8 of 20 for 80 yards for 4 yards per attempt but ran for 59 yards a touchdown on sixteen carries.
Tough road spot for the Gators. LSU defending well holding teams to 293 yards. Volunteers pass defense the concern as Daniels was able to throw for 210 yards at home in the win to Mississippi St. Play LSU +3.
Purdue vs. Maryland College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Purdue at Maryland—Purdue improved to 3-2 after their 20-10 road win at Minnesota. Boilermakers defense strong in victory holding the Golden Gophers stout running attack to only 47 yards on 26 carries. They picked off three passes and survived three turnovers of their own.
Purdue ran for 160 yards on 27 carries. Quarterback Aiden O’Connell was 27 of 40 for 199 yards, two picks and only 5 yards per pass attempt. He has had poor performances in his two Big Ten games.
Maryland improved to 4-1 following their 27-13 home win to Michigan St. Terrapins strong offensive performance behind a balanced 489 yards with 175 rushing on 35 carries. Taulia Tagovailoa strong in victory hitting on 78% with 7.7 yards per pass attempt.
On the season Tagovailoa is completing 75.5% with 8.9 per attempt. Purdue putting up good numbers but O’Connell’s performances in conference the concern. Play Maryland -4.
Eastern Michigan vs. Western Michigan College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan—Eastern Michigan improved to 3-2 following their 20-13 home win to UMASS. Eagles couldn’t get enough offense to cover the 20 as they produced 344 yards. They ran effectively with 222 yards on 40 carries and held the Minutemen to 255 yards.
Quarterback Austin Smith completed just 54.2% with 5.1 yards per attempt with two touchdowns and two picks. On the season Smith completing 56.9% with 7.3 per attempt. He has averaged 5.4 yards per rush attempt on 31 carries. Western Michigan 2-3 with their 44-7 home win to FCS New Hampshire behind 356 yards.
Offense struggled in FBS non-conference games but shined in their MAC opener beating Ball St on the road 37-30 behind 437 yards. Broncos quarterback Jack Salopek is completing 54.2% of his passes, four touchdowns, five picks and 6.5 per attempt. He missed the loss at San Jose St but has averaged 5.3 yards per attempt in the win at Balls St.
EMU had success on the ground in their road win at ASU. Neither team getting good production in the passing game so expect high volume running. Play Eastern Michigan +5.

Missouri vs. Florida College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Missouri at Florida—Missouri fell to 2-3 after their 26-22 home defeat to Georgia. Tigers couldn’t hold a 16-3 lead late in the second quarter. Tigers offense produced only 293 yards on the Bulldogs but in the end gave up 482 yards with 170 rushing on 35 carries.
Quarterback Brady Cook was 20 of 32 against Georgia with 6 yards per attempt. On the season Cook a 62.9 completion rate and 7.1 per attempt. Florida 3-2 after their 52-17 home win on Sunday to FCS Eastern Washington behind 666 yards. They have dropped both of their SEC games at home to Kentucky and at Tennessee.
Quarterback Anthony Richardson has dealt with accuracy issues completing only 55.7%, four touchdowns, six picks and 8.5 yards per attempt. A major threat to run with 241 yards and five touchdowns. Concern is the 40 points the Tigers allowed on the road in a 28 point defeat at Kansas St.
Tough scheduling spot in physical battles at Auburn and home to Georgia for Missouri leading into this game. Tigers will not be able to keep with the scoring by the Gators. Play Florida -10.5.
Texas vs. Oklahoma College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Texas vs. Oklahoma—Texas improved to 3-2 with their 38-20 home win to West Virginia behind 447 yards. Longhorns defense held the Mountaineers to 314 yards. It was a pedestrian running attack in the win. Quarterback Hudson Card a strong game going 21 of 27 for 303 yards, three touchdowns and 11.2 yards per attempt.
On the season Card 69.2% completion rate with 8.6 per attempt. Oklahoma falls to 3-2 after their 55-24 road defeat at TCU. Another poor defensive performance by the Sooners giving up 668 yards to the Horned Frogs with 361 rushing and 307 in the passing game.
Quarterback Dillon Gabriel did not return after a head injury against TCU. Backup Davis Beville just 7 of 16 for 50 yards and 3.1 yards per pass attempt in relief.
Gabriel’s status the concern but Beville will get first team reps no doubt. Longhorns are allowing 246 passing with 66% completion rate. Sooners defense has been torched past in the Big 12. Play Texas and Oklahoma over 65.
Louisville vs. Virginia College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Louisville at Virginia—Louisville fell to 2-3 after their 34-33 road defeat at Boston College. Cardinals defense gave up 461 yards to an Eagles team that had struggled. BC ran for 157 yards and threw for 304 yards on only 21 attempts.
Quarterback Malik Cunningham had a high completion rate at BC but averaged only 6.6 per attempt but went into the medical tent in the fourth quarter and questionable here. Brock Domann ineffective in relief going 1 of 8 for 10 yards and an interception.
Virginia is 2-3 following their 38-17 road defeat at Duke. Back to back road losses and back to back games where the offense gained under 300 yards.
Quarterback Brennan Armstrong has struggled this season completing 52%, 4 touchdowns, 5 picks and only 5.9 yards per pass attempt all career lows. He has completed on greater than 54% in his FBS games and he has completed less than half his passes against power conference teams.
Quarterback play the concern on both sides with the Cunningham injury. Both teams have run well but Virginia defends it well. Play Louisville and Virginia under 52.
Arkansas vs. Mississippi St College Football Pick Prediction 10/3/2022
Arkansas at Mississippi St—Arkansas falls to 3-2 after their 49-26 home defeat to Alabama. Razorbacks fell behind 28-0 early and made it a game after three quarters but gets crushed in the fourth quarter. Arkansas defense was torched for 555 yards with 317 rushing.
Quarterback KJ Jefferson completed 54.2% in the Alabama loss with 6.5 per attempt and only 2.2 yards per rush on 17 carries. On the season Jefferson completing 66.1% with 9.1 yards per attempt. Mississippi St is 4-1 following their 42-24 home win to Texas A&M behind 473 yards offensively.
Balanced attack for the Bulldogs in the win. Quarterback Will Rogers coming off a strong game with 31 of 45 for 329 yards, three touchdowns and 7.3 yards per attempt. Rogers completing 72.8% on the season with 7.3 yards per attempt.
Tough spot for Arkansas in back to back games at Texas A&M and home to Alabama in consecutive weeks. Razorbacks pass defense a major weakness as they give up 289 yards with 8.6 per attempt. Too many big plays allowed by Arkansas. Play Mississippi St -6.5.
