Kansas is 4-0 with their 35-27 home win to Duke. It was the Jayhawks best offensive showing with 528 yards. They did give up 324 passing yards on 36 attempts.
Quarterback Jalon Daniels threw for 324 yards, four touchdowns and 14.1 yards per pass attempt in the win. He doesn’t run much but when he does it is usually for chunks of yardage. Play Kansas +3.
Oklahoma St vs. Baylor College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Oklahoma St at Baylor—Oklahoma St is 3-0 after their 63-7 home win to FCS Arkansas Pine Bluff behind 540 yards. They have moved the ball effectively in wins at home to Arizona St and Central Michigan.
Oklahoma St senior quarterback Spencer Sanders completing 65.3% of his throws, 10 touchdowns, 1 pick and 9.6 yards per pass attempt. A sore spot was the defense in the second half of their win at home to Central Michigan as they gave up a total of 516 yards and 44 points.
Baylor improved to 3-1 after their 31-24 road win at Iowa St. Bears built the 31-14 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Bears defensive limited the Cyclones to 66 rushing yards on 27 carries and benefitted on a +2 turnover margin.
Baylor quarterback Blake Shapen had his best game against a FBS school completing 73.1%, three touchdowns and 8.3 yards per attempt. Bears playing the better defense and that second half showing by the Cowboys against Central Michigan against the pass is the concern. Play Baylor -1.5.

Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Virginia Tech at North Carolina—Virginia Tech fell to 2-2 after their 33-10 home defeat to West Virginia. Another poor offensive performance against a power conference team as the Hokies were held to only 228 yards. Team ran for only 35 yards on 18 carries.
Marshall transfer quarterback Grant Wells completing only 60.3% of his passes, five touchdowns, five picks and 6.4 yards per pass attempt. He had a poor showing in defeat with 45.7% completions and 5.5 per attempt. North Carolina fell to 3-1 after their 45-32 home defeat to a down Notre Dame team.
Tar Heels defense gave up 576 yards to the Fighting Irish who has struggled offensively this season. North Carolina surrendered 287 rushing yards on 51 carries and 289 through the pass on 34 attempts.
Quarterback Drake Maye is completing 69% of his throws, 16 touchdowns, 1 pick and 9.5 yards per pass attempt. Not comfortable laying a big number with a North Carolina defense giving up 495 yards a game since Virginia Tech defensively limits opponents to 255. Hokies holding opponents to only 21.8% on third down. Play Virginia Tech +9.
Central Michigan vs. Toledo College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Central Michigan at Toledo—Central Michigan fell to 1-3 after their 33-14 road defeat at Penn St. Chippewas struggled defending the Nittany Lions run game and finished with a -4 turnover margin.
Quarterback Daniel Richardson is completing only 57.6% of his passes for 6.5 yards per pass attempt a huge drop from his past two seasons. He is questionable with a shoulder. Backup Jase Bauer went 3 of 7 for 40 yards in relief last week.
Toledo is 2-2 after their 17-14 road defeat at San Diego St. Rockets gave up a one yard rushing touchdown in the closing seconds. Toledo defended the pass well but surrendered 217 rushing yards on 33 carries. Rockets gave away the game with four turnovers and forced one.
Quarterback Dequan Finn did move the football through the air against San Diego St for 240 yards but threw three interceptions. He is a dual threat to run.
It was a tough back to back stretch facing Ohio St and San Diego St on the road. Will take the points here behind a high octane Chippewas offense. Play Central Michigan +7.
Wake Forest vs. Florida St College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Wake Forest at Florida St—Wake Forest fell to 3-1 after their 51-45 home defeat in overtime to Clemson. Demon Deacons offense fell short on the ground. On defense they surrendered 559 yards to the Tigers with 188 rushing.
Wake Forest quarterback Sam Hartman did his job completing 20 of 29 for 337 yards and six touchdowns. Florida St moved to 4-0 after their 44-14 home win to Boston College. Seminoles rolled up 530 yards on the Eagles running for 180. Defense held BC to only 235 yards.
Quarterback Jordan Travis is completing 66.7% of his throws with 10.5 yards per pass attempt. Seminoles offense showing good balance and should be able to move the football on Wake Forest who has issues defensively. Play Wake Forest and Florida St over 64.
Alabama vs. Arkansas College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Alabama at Arkansas—Alabama improved to 4-0 after their 55-3 home win to Vanderbilt. They rolled up 628 yards in the win. In their lone true road game, the Crimson Tide got past Texas 20-19 failing to cover as a three touchdown favorite.
Bryce Young in that game averaged only 5.5 yards per pass attempt. Arkansas comes off the 23-21 neutral site defeat to Texas A&M. Razorbacks blew a 14-0 lead after one quarter and missed a field goal as time expired. A key turnover was instrumental in the Aggies return.
Razorbacks ran for 244 yards on 54 carries. KJ Jefferson is completing 69.1% of his throws, 8 touchdowns, 1 pick and 9.7 yards per attempt. A major threat to run. In the Texas game the Crimson Tide did give up 292 passing yards, 67.6% completion rate and 8.6 yards per pass attempt. Play Arkansas +17.5.
Ohio vs. Kent College Football Pick Prediction 10/1/2022
Ohio at Kent—Ohio moved to 2-2 after their 59-52 home win to FCS Fordham behind 692 yards. The offense played well against the smaller conference team and held to under 300 yards in losses at Iowa St and Penn St.
Quarterback Kevin Rourke completing 69.4% of his throws, nine touchdowns, two picks and 8.1 yards per pass attempt. Kent drops to 1-3 with their 39-22 road defeat at Georgia. Their win came at home to FCS Long Island with losses at Georgia, Oklahoma and Washington.
Golden Flashes quarterback Collin Schlee completing 61.8% of his throws with 9 yards per pass attempt facing some tough competition. Ohio defense has been torched for 538 yards per game, 5.1 per rush, 70.8% completion rate for 9.3 yards per pass attempt. Play Kent -11.5.
