The Albany Great Danes will go against the #10 Baylor Bears in NCAAF action in McLane Stadium, TX, on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 7:00 PM ET.

After ending with a 12-2 overall record, including a 7-2 record in Big Ten conference play, the Baylor Bears will try to maintain their winning ways.

The Bears defeated Oklahoma State by a score of 21-16 in the Big 12 championship contest and then defeated Ole Miss by a score of 21-7 in the Sugar Bowl.

Gerry Bohanon’s departure for USF means that the Bears will have a new face in the center position, although Blake Shapen actually won the starting job over Bohanon.

Trestan Ebner left the Bears for the NFL, and Abram Smith joined the New Orleans Saints, but Craig Williams is a solid replacement who can carry the weight and take over in the backfield for Baylor.

After dropping their top three receivers to the transfer portal or the NFL, the Bears’ receiving corps will need to rebuild, but with time, they’ll be able to move the ball through the air with no problems.

There will be some new faces on defense as well, but head coach Dave Aranda is ready for the challenge. With Siaki Ika up front and Dillon Doyle at linebacker—who was second on the Bears in tackles last season—Baylor is predicted to have one of the Big 12’s strongest front sevens.
