The Arkansas Razorbacks will want to build on their successful 2021 campaign, in which the Hogs finished with a 9-4 overall record and a 4-4 record in SEC conference action.

The Razorbacks performed admirably enough to earn a berth in the Outback Bowl, where they defeated Penn State 24-10.

KJ Jefferson returned to Fayetteville to gain more experience and flourish in Kendal Briles’ offense. He completed 67% of his passes for 2,676 yards, 21 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions while also rushing for 664 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Raheim Jefferson is joining the Hogs to support Arkansas and Jefferson in the backfield, while Jadon Haselwood is joining from Oklahoma to help with the transition after Treylon Burks left Arkansas for the NFL.

Zack Williams, who recorded 3.5 sacks last year, is back on defense, while Bumper Pool, one of the best linebackers in the SEC, is also returning.

The largest improvement comes in the secondary, although Drew Sanders also joins from rival Alabama to provide the Hogs some depth there.

However, the Razorbacks did well to hit the transfer portal hard and bring in players like Latavious Brint from Georgia and Dwight McGlothern from LSU to fill the safety slots. Jalen Catalon is back in the lineup after an injury delayed his 2021 season.
