With a victory of 11-7 on Sunday, the Diamondbacks ended a five-game losing streak. They are 13 games behind Los Angeles in fourth place in the NL West. They have a significantly greater chance of making the Wild Card because they are eight matches behind the winner.

This year, they struggled to generate much at-bat activity, as seen by their No. 29 hitting average (.216). The offensive struggles are led by second baseman Ketel Marte, who has 62 hits, and catcher Daulton Varsho, who has 59 base hits.
