Dallas at Calgary NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Overview: The Flames catch Colorado for the first seed in the Western Conference, and Edmonton owns little chance of reaching them for the division crown, so they’re all-but-locked into the second seed.
Meanwhile, Dallas and Nashville entered the week tied for both wild card berths, so this is a possible preview to a first-round playoff pairing.
If Calgary win, they gain a better chance to play Nashville. If they fall here, they will gain a much greater chance of meeting them again in postseason play — with Dallas believing they have a real shot at an upset.
Prediction: If not for Dallas playing on back-to-back nights in Edmonton and here, the Stars would be the play. Or maybe, the Stars prefer to play Calgary, so they lost in Edmonton “on purpose” to allow the Oilers a chance to gain first. Either way, Dallas has to like this situation. So the play is the… STARS on the money line.
Chicago at Los Angeles NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Overview: The Kings survived their Freeway Faceoff rivalry with Anaheim and now face the Blackhawks with the hope of catching Edmonton for home-ice in a first-round playoff series. That are only two points back, but the Oilers have two names-in-hand, meaning Edmonton pretty much needs a prefill collapse to lose home ice.
A decade ago, when both clubs were winning Stanley Cups, this was as good of a pairing you could find in the Western Conference.
The rebuilding advantage is currently with the Kings, and since Vegas won last night in overtime, there is enough pressure on L.A. to come out and take Chicago seriously.
Besides, look at the standings. The Blackhawks should be in last place, except Arizona was switched to the Central to make room for Seattle. That will change in a few seasons.
Chicago has only one thing to play before besides pride. If they fall, expansion Seattle has a chance to overtake them in the overall standings, which would be a major embarrassment. The play is on the KINGS, but in a round-robin parlay and not on the Puck Line.
Detroit at Florida NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022

St. Louis at San Jose NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Blues: St. Louis has real plans for the postseason, so need to bounce back from a narrow loss to Boston in order to gain second place in the Central Division.
Still, the loss to the Bruins came in overtime, snapping a 9-game winning streak, but the points streak grows to 13 straight — they haven’t lost in regulation in a full month (Mar. 19 to Columbus).
Sharks: Like Chicago, San Jose is in seventh place (instead of dead last )in their division only because of expansion,
Although the Kraken are fast closing in on San Jose, they have no mathematically chance of catching the Sharks, but by winning three straight games for the first time — capped by last night’s major upset of Colorado, they are fast gaining positive attention in the National League.
Prediction: Meanwhile, San Jose is heading for the golf course. It’s the BLUES in a round-robin parlay and not the Puck Line.

Prediction: The Wild defense is really gearing up for the playoffs on Cam Talbot’s 2-0 shoutout at Montreal. Minnesota coaches had had this problem before who gets the start in net?
Prediction: Utilizing several Props: we will take the UNDER on Vancouver, plus, the WILD GOALIE WILL post a shoutout at 8-to-1 odds. As for the side, it’s another robin-robin parlay — never a complete parlay for big favorites.
Toronto at Tampa Bay NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Overview: This is the battle for home ice between the clubs in their first-round playoff series in the Atlantic Division.
Toronto leads the series 2-1, splitting the first two meetings which were in Toronto, then winning in Tampa, 6-2, just 16 days ago.
Tampa Bay was caught looking ahead to this game in falling (at -480!!) to Detroit — ong! Obviously, as the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions, the Bolts do well in revenge spots like this.
However, the Leafs have won four straight coming off a win over Philadelphia in avoiding a look-ahead goal. This also started the Leafs final road trip of the season, next going to Florida and Washington — this will make them playoff ready, win or lose.
Prediction: Tampa Bay is 3-4-2 SU *3-5 ATS) in the last three weeks and are seeking answers at 5-on-5 of all things. The value play is on the hotter team, the MAPLE LEAFS.
Boston at Pittsburgh NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Overview; The Bruins looked in playoff shape after winning in St. Louis, shutting down two of the Blues’ top scoring lines. Although advancing to the division’s 2/3 postseason slot is all but out of the question, a win over the Penguins will increase their chances when they meet either Carolina or the NY Rangers to open the postseason.
The Penguins have been called everything from “stale” to “not ready” by lazy members of the media that do any research. We told you (several times) how former Penguins greats have been visiting the club for talks on practice opr in the room on how to get ready for postseason play, which includes just being good at close the regular season and not necessarily giving 100 percent to avoid problems and injuries.
We never knew that that was the right thing to do, but the data from the result speak for themselves.
Predictions: The Pines are mind among themselves about themselves, with no major landmarks or milestones to reach to close the season.
The attitude in Boston is different, so a value play on the road dog sounds appealing… BRUINS.

These must be the two most disappointing clubs in the National League.
Prediction: The victor gains ownership of the Pepe Le Pue Trophy. If you bet on this contest, you deserve one of your own, too.
Buffalo at New Jersey NHL Pick Prediction 4/21/2022
Overview:: A pair of squads which started poorly then guided through the second half attempting to improve tons of youngsters for the annual “look to the future.”
Prediction: There is as much interest in this game as there is there the USFL-2 spring football league: not much.
Prediction: The Devils seem to care, going 3-1-1 SU (3-2 ATS) in L5; Sabres are coming off a sweep of Philadelphia. For both teams, all recent games seem to fall to the Total of 6. PASS.

Prediction: The “value: play” is the Isales, but they couldn’t win one for Bossy, a beloved local players and Hall of Famer — UGH!. RANGERS.
