Winnipeg at Florida NHL Pick Prediction 4/15/2022
Jets: Stuck in Montreal because of the impending blizzard smashing into Mantiba and the upper Midwest, the Winnipeg Jets had their Wednesday home game with Seattle postponed in record time in order to spend an extra day or two in the Miami area.
South Beach or the Canadian wilderness? Smart!
Thus, the rested Jets, which are clinging to hopes for a wild card berth, meet the best club in the Eastern Conference.
The lone player upset with missing Seattle is 2020 1st-rounder Cole Perfetti, who was injured in a game with the Kraken two months ago. Perfetti thought he’d be ready by now, and although he is on the extended road trip, he will not skate in either game in Florida, or even the rest of the season.
The Seattle game was rescheduled for May 1 as an extension to the regular season
After losing three straight, the Jets extended Colorado into overtime, then beat Ottawa and Montreal.
The Jets are also a very steady 16-13-8 SU (16-21 ATS) on the road.
Panthers: Wow! Florida is 17-2-1 SU in L20 (17-3 ATS), including the current string of seven straight wins. The lone, minor flaw finds three of the wins came in overtime.
The Panthers were on the verge of falling to Anaheim last time out, but two goals by Anthony Duclair avoided the major upset bid.
How Florida keeps winning with little if any pressure on them is remarkable, unless they really want to overtake Colorado to gain the President’s Trophy.
Another key number: the Panthers are 31-6-0 at home SU/ATS, thanks to a league-high 11.2 points per game.
Jonathan Huberdeau leads FLA with 105 points, scoring 28 goals and adding 77 assists. Aleksander Barkov has 10 assists over L10 games for Florida.
Still, a wild card berth for Winnipeg is unlikely.
Prediction: Everyone’s waiting to fade Florida (-270), but they just never seem to get beat. And with the Jets recovering and skating with fresh legs, a simpler wager is not the side, it’s the Total… OVER.

NY Islanders at Montreal NHL Pick Prediction 4/15/2022
Isles: Per usual, in a home-and-home series, the winner in the first game (NYI) falls in the second game (PIT). Now, Long Island needs to play a back-to-back road set with an unusual trip from Pittsburgh to Montreal.
Back in the 1970s, PIT and MON were in the same division, but no more.
The Islanders came out slow, down 4-1 at the midway mark, as a season of high expectations was coming to an end.
Prediction: The Isles looked very slow. And since Montreal is coming in fresh, a minor upset is predicable with the home dogs… CANADIENS.
