Yesterday, I told you that national sports-talk radio were calling Philadelphia the worst team in hockey, even below Seattle.
So what happened? The Flyers score a huge upset win in St. Louis… Ygh!
Can the Flyers do the same in a road back-to-back in Colorado? Hockey Reference gives the Avs a 99-percent chance of winning, but at what cost: -300?, -400? More?
Colorado: You want to lay $1,000 to win a couple of hundred?
Prediction: PASS
Buffalo Sabres vs Washington Capitals Pick Prediction 3/25/2022
Capitals: You’ve witnessed the results and we’ve been on the right side. Just like in the NFL over the final weeks of the season, there is no such ring as a “mus win” game.
Earlier, San Jose won in Calgary, Philadelphia wins in Stg. Louis. Jew Jersey scored seven times against the Rangers… and — as predicted here — Buffalo (+160) up-ended Pittsburgh.
Yes, yes, yes, the Capitals should win. But with only one line scoring on a consistent basis, can you trust them on the road?
Sabres: Look at the club on a 7-3 SU/ATS roll, “our” Buffalo Sabres!
Okay, the last three were in shootouts or overtime, so you might want to hedge with a 60-minute, regulation tie (where available), but the numbers don’t lie.
Power Play: Up. Penalty kill: Up. 5-on-5: Up!. Goaltending: Above average.
Indeed, last month’s 6-game losing streakk is forgotten, especially with an influx of young talent after the trade line came and gone.
Prediction: The Caps visited Buffalo just last month and escaped with a shootout win. And now they have a look-ahead with Carolina this weekend. It’s a small play, but a 60-minute tie or SAVRES is the play.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs New York Rangers Pick Prediction 3/25/2022
Penguins: If Pittsburgh was in a look-ahead situation in the loss at Buffalo, they better be ready here.
Rangers: And if the Blue Shirts were ready in downing Carolina, then screw up to New Jersey, are they ready to rebound?
Numbers: This is only the second game of four in the series this season, with PIT winning 1-0 in the series opener.
PIT is streaky, with W6, L4,W4, L3, W3, L2, W2, L2. W3 and L1. Ugh!
NYR is 2-2 SU/ATL in L4, and 5-2 SU/ATS in L9, with Total barely leaning toward the Over.
Predictions: Both sides need to rebound, but it effects Pittsburgh to a far greater depth than for NTR But since the Rangers seem to be the public’s “hot team” at the moment, the contrary play means we get a good lavue at near even money on the… PENGUINS.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs Winnipeg Jets Pick Prediction 3/25/2022
Blue Jackets: Right wing Columbus at Winnipeg if Finland might be the best National League player no one has heard about.
After scoring 44 goals one season in the wasteland known as Winnipeg, he was sent packing for some solid prospects to Columbus. And now the Jackets make their first trip to Manitoba since the trade because of then pandemic.
However, Laine has missed half of the season and has found the net just 12 times. He won’t be ready for the spotlight after being such a beloved player for Jets fans, especially after his 2017 All-Star Game appearance in the same year he made the NHL All-Rookie team.
Jets: Laine never grew, so they got rid of him at thr right time; a type of trade Columbus never seems to make.
Plus, they always seem to defeat CBJ, including a 3-0 win in Ohio back in November.
Predictions: Both sides have been playing .500 hockey, with slight lens towards the over. Despite Laine’s sub-par season, he still leads CBJ in scoring, so who else can place the puck in the net? I’d prefer not to lay such a big number, but the series always seems to rate to the side of the… JETS.
Arizona Coyotes vs Calgary Flames Pick Prediction 3/25/2022
Coyotes: Of late, because there is no such thing as a home-ice advantage in Arizona, these Coyotes have near identical home and away statistic.
Arizona had won 6-of-7 *loe loss to Boston), but now dropped three straight, including Tuesday’s home ice to Seattle.
I thought it was the Coyotes that always pull off the upset wins in late-season play, but with the power play still struggling, a roadtrip to western Canada could by the staring of s good finishing point to the season.
A single-game parlay may be the answer for a winning wager: take AZ and Over, or opponent and Under. It’s cheaper than dropping a C-note SU.
Flames: Calgary wins one, drops one, etc. for two week now, and head coach Daryl Sutter is not happy. Hence, expect line changes which means an emphasis on defense.
When the Flames offense is on, they are an easy pick, but not right now. But giving up four goals to San Jose — the Sharks are 7-1 ATS & SU in Calgary in L8 — is not a solution.
Calgary has played the Zonies just once this season, winning 4-2, but it was a slow, methodical contest.
Prediction: When Calgary is in its current grunt mode, I look to the Over, especially since Arizona will love playing on real ice and not the (bleep) that is under in Glendale, Ariz. I’d prefer Calgary, but at -200 or higher, it’s not worth the price, even in a parlay with Winnipeg… PASS
