The Bears had a strong regular season, winning more games than they had in almost a decade, and now have an opportunity to win the Missouri Valley Conference.

Evansville gave Missouri State a little more of a battle than they expected in the regular-season finale last weekend, leading 57-56 with 8:21 remaining, but the offense eventually woke up and responded with a 12-2 run.

Isiaih Mosley had a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Gaige Prim had 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals on 10/15 shooting from the field. The Bears’ offense put up a respectable showing overall, shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 25/29 from the free-throw line.

Missouri State is 16-14 against the spread, but it failed to cover the spread in three of its previous four matches, including a rout of Northern Iowa. The Bears have a solid 19-11 over/under record, with each of their previous five matches exceeding the betting total.
