The Kentucky Wildcats defeated the 25th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at 90-81 last Saturday.  Kentucky finished the first half one point behind but rallied with 43 points in the second half to secure the win. 

 

Kellan Grady made 7 three-pointers for a season-high 25 points.  Oscar Tshiebwe scored 21 points and 14 rebounds.  Keion Brooks Jr. added 18 points, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.  Jacob Toppin finished with 13 points and 3 assists. 

 

The Wildcats were 53.2% in shooting, 10% behind Alabama.  They made 9 of 14 three-pointers and only 15 of 19 free throws.  They outrebounded the Crimson Tide at 39-32 and forced Alabama to turnover the ball 9 times. 

 

Kentucky‘s key player this season is Oscar Tshiebwe averaging 16.4 ppg, 15.2 rpg, 1.9 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.  Tshiebwe also leads with 59.3% in field goals.  Sahvir Wheeler leads with 7.1 assists per game.  As a team, Kentucky is averaging 80.9 ppg which is top 10, 41.1 RPG which is top 16, and 16.7 assists per game which is top 19 in the league.
