The Fairfield Stags will continue their homestand for six consecutive matches on Friday night with two games below the .500 mark at 12-14 after a seven-point loss to Manhattan. The Stags shut down Niagara and Canisius in succession but the win streak stopped with a 67-74 defeat to the Manhattan Jaspers on Wednesday.

 

Fairfield dropped to 8th place at 6-9 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with an overall standing at 12-14 and a home record at 5-8 on the road. The Stags took a three-point advantage over the Jaspers in the first half but allowed a 44-point rally by Manhattan in the final half on the way to their 67-74 loss last game.

 

Forward Supreme Cook carried the offense for Fairfield with 17 points and 6 rebounds while Guard Jesus Cruz chipped in 13 points for the Stags.  

 

Fairfield nailed an average of 69.8 PPG in shooting for 44.5% from the field while their defense gave up an average of 66.4 PPG but also averaged 2.9 blocks and 5.4 steals per outing.

 

Guard Taj Benning posted an average of 11.2 PPG on 39.1% overall shooting in leading the Stags while Forward Supreme Cook led in rebounding with an average of 8.1 RPG and Guard Caleb Green dispensed an average of 2.8 assists per game.
