The Arizona Wildcats are looking to extend their two-game winning streak.  The Wildcats defeated the number 3 ranked UCLA Bruins at 76-66 last Thursday.  Arizona built a 12-point lead in the first half at 42-30.  UCLA slowed the game in the second half applying strong defense but it wasn’t enough to stop Arizona. 

 

Kerr Kriisa led in scoring at 16 points and handed 5 assists.  Azuolas Tubelis added 14 points and 5 rebounds.  Off the bench, Pelle Larsson scored 12 points and 8 rebounds.  Benedict Mathurin had 11 points and 7 rebounds while Dalen Terry added 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. 

 

The Wildcats outrebounded the Bruins at 44-36 but turned over the ball 15 times.  Arizona was 48% in shooting, 10% more than UCLA.  They made 8 of 22 three-pointers and only made 20 of 30 free throws.  

 

After 30 games, the Wildcats recorded an average of 85.5 ppg which is top 4, 43.7 rebounds per game which is top 6, and 20.4 assists per game which is top 2 in NCAA Men’s Basketball. 

 

Benedict Mathurin leads with an average of 16.9 ppg.  Christian Koloko leads in field goal attempts at 62.4%, 7.3 rpg, and 3.2 blocks per game.  Kerr Kriisa leads with 5.1 assists while Dalen Terry leads with 1.1 steals per game.
