The Raiders’ overall record slipped to 11-10 after defeats to Cleveland State and Northern Kentucky, but they appear to be a tough out in the Horizon League tournament next month.

Wright State had an early lead and appeared to be on their way to a 9th conference victory on Friday night, but they were unable to hold off the tough Cleveland State onslaught and fell 71-67. In the first few minutes, the Raiders dominated by as much as 16-3 before Cleveland State quietly but steadily clawed its way back into the game.

Cleveland State went on a 10-4 surge to start the second half and never looked back. Tanner Holden topped Wright State with 24 points and a game-high 8 rebounds, while Trey Calvin contributed 21 points, six rebounds, and 3 assists to lead the Raiders.
