The Tulane Green Wave (7-8) will take on the UCF Knights (11-5) in the AAC at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando on Saturday at 2:00 PM ET. Tulane comes into this AAC battle to improve their overall record to .500 and bounce back from their last nine-point loss to the SMU Mustangs.

The UCF Knights split their last six contests and improved their overall record to 11-5 this season. The Knights surrendered to SMU, Temple, and South Florida but shut down Michigan, Memphis, and just recently the East Carolina Pirates at 92-85 on January 18.

 

Central Florida is in 6th place at 3-3 in the American Athletic Conference with an overall standing at 11-5 and a home record at 7-2 on the season. The Knights trailed a 28-point halftime lead by the Pirates but UCF made a 44-point rally in the second half to tie the score and forced the game into overtime.

 

Central Florida nailed 20 points while their defense allowed 13 to East Carolina in the extended period to snatch a 92-85 overtime triumph on Tuesday. Guards Darius Perry and Brandon Mahan nailed 19 points each while Perry added 8 assists for the Knights.

 

Central Florida recorded 49.2% (31/63) shooting from the floor, 50.0% (15/30) from the rainbow territory, and 60.0% (15/25) from the charity stripe. The Knights pulled down 22 defensive boards and grabbed 10 offensive rebounds while dishing out a total of 23 assists in the match.

 

The UCF Knights’ defense spoiled 2 shooting attempts with 13 steals but lost the leather in 14 turnovers and committed 12 personal fouls in the game.
