The St. John’s Red Storm aimed for a 10-5 overall record in hosting this Big East face-off against conference rival Georgetown. The Red Storm lost three of their last seven outings including their recent two defeats to Providence and the Connecticut Huskies on January 12.

 

St. John‘s is in 9th place at 1-2 in the Big East Conference with an overall standing at 9-5 while winning 9 of their last 11 contests played at home on the season. The Red Storm trailed a five-point halftime lead versus the Huskies but managed to tie the score at 71-all after the regulation time thus pushing the game into overtime.

The Red Storm had an excellent offense that recorded an average of 82.1 PPG with three players on double-figure average scoring this season.
