The Florida State Seminoles are gearing up to visit the Florida Gators this Saturday as both teams clash in week 13 of the college football season. The Florida State Seminoles are coming off their second straight win for the season, their most recent one being a victory over the Boston College Eagles by a final score of 26-23.

Over to the side of the Florida Gators, the team is coming off a loss against the Missouri Tigers by a tight final score of 24-23.  Of their last five games played, Florida lost a total of four that dropped their record to 5-6 this season. 

 

The Florida defense put up a good fight in their previous outing but surrendered seven points during the last quarter. A pair of Gators QBs participated in the showdown, with Emory Jones as the starter, who completed 20 passes of 32 for 261 yards, while Trent Whittemore threw a six-yard pass and a touchdown. 

 

WR Jacob Copeland led in receptions with eight catches for 102 yards, just as RB Malik Davis chipped in 46 yards with four receptions. 

 

Leading the team is Emory Jones with 2400 passing yards on a 67.8 completion percentage, 18 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.  The rushing offense also followed the quarterback’s lead with 674 yards and four touchdowns on 128 carries, while Jacob Copeland led the receivers with 36 receptions for 575 yards and four touchdowns. 

 

On defense, linebacker Mohamoud Diabate was the leading tackler with 83, while Brenton Cox Jr. and lineman Zachary Carter each posted 8.0.
