Boise St at San Diego St—A win and San Diego St plays in the Mountain West title game. A loss by Fresno St on Friday also sends the Aztecs to the MWC title game. Boise St sits tied with Utah St and Air Force in the Mountain division. If all three tied teams win then Air Force moves to title game. That means there are still six spots left. If enough five win teams lose then the door could open for Texas. But they are on a six game losing streak. Longhorns defense has performed poorly as the team is allowing 439 yards with 200 rushing for 5.1 yards per carry. Opponents are averaging 7.2 yards per pass attempt. Kansas St had their four game win streak snapped in a 20-10 home defeat to Baylor. Wildcats are trending well on the ground in their past three against the Big 12 by averaging 169 yards and 5.6 yards per rush. Bad news for Kansas St as quarterback Skylar Thompson is doubtful with a leg injury. Jaren Lewis is the backup and in limited play is completing only 52.2% of his throws. Both teams are bowl eligible. It is a two game win streak for Missouri wins by one to Florida in overtime and to South Carolina at home by three. Missouri defense has struggled on the road as the team allows 463 yards with 6.1 yards per rush and 7.7 yards per pass attempt. Arkansas has won three of four with a seven point defeat at Alabama. Must respect the offensive performance for the Razorbacks with 468 yards and 35 points in the cover. USF at UCF—South Florida has lost seven of eight after their 45-14 road loss to a down Tulane team. They surrendered 501 yards to the Green Wave. Green Wave defense trending poorly past three AAC games by allowing 551 yards with 5.9 yards per rush and 11.1 yards per pass attempt. UCF is having to navigate the remainder of their season without quarterback Dillon Gabriel out for the year. Mikey Keene has seen significant action since Week five. Air Force is locked in a three way tie with Utah St and Boise St in the Mountain West conference Mountain divisions. If all three teams win their Air Force plays in the conference title game. UNLV has covered well this year covering eight of eleven. They had their two game win streak snapped in an eight point home loss to San Diego St despite gaining 394 yards. Air Force has won two straight after a 41-39 win at Nevada in overtime. Colorado at Utah—Utah has clinched a berth into the PAC 12 championship game after an emotional 38-7 home win to Oregon. Colorado has shown improvement winning two of three. The offense has been inconsistent. They benefitted with turnovers in their 20-17 home win to Washington as they gained only 183 yards. Buffaloes have been pounded on the road in the PAC 12 with losses by 24 at UCLA, 23 at Oregon, 23 at Cal and 22 at Arizona St. Past three games Utes offense producing 478 yards with 274 rushing for 5.9 yards per carry. On the road Colorado surrendering 486 yards with 220 rushing for 5.9 yards per rush. Buffs road pass defense poor as well as they give up 266 yards, 71.1% completion rate and 8.9 yards per attempt. TCU vs. Iowa St Pick Prediction 11/26/2021
TCU at Iowa St—TCU at 5-6 is one win away from bowl eligibility. Iowa St is bowl eligible at 6-5 and that is a disappointment. After a 63-7 blowout loss at Oklahoma St the Horned Frogs got past Kansas 31-28 at home as a 21 point favorite. Iowa St returns home after back to back road losses at Oklahoma and Texas Tech. They do have home wins by three to Oklahoma St and 23 to Texas. Quarterback Brock Purdy is completing 73.4% of his passes against the Big 12 with eight yards per pass attempt. Last home game on senior day is a special moment. TCU will sit Chandler Morris here. Max Duggan started against Kansas.
