Penn St vs. UMASS College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/15/2021
Penn St at UMASS—With the coaching change during the offseason Penn St saw a lot of players enter the transfer Portland and first year head coach Micah Shrewsberry had only two starters and two rotational players left. Shrewsberry did some recruiting in the portal and picked up four D1 transfer and one from JC. UMASS has three starters return from last year. Their top scorer from last season transferred. Roster is too stocked with transfers. Minutemen do have an experienced back court. Early on shooting has been in issue for UMASS combining for oly 41.8% with a win to UMBC and 20 point defeat to Yale on the road. Penn St showed dominance inside in their 16 point win to Youngstown St. They did a good job of handling the basketball. Play Penn St -5.
Illinois vs. Marquette College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/15/2021
Illinois at Marquette—Shaka Smart enters his first year at Marquette with no returning starters. Golden Eagles lost 80% of their scoring. Rebounding and three point scoring. Only two players returned from the rotation from last year. Three starters return to an Illinois team that finished with a 16-2 record in the Big Ten and an NCAA second round appearance. The remaining players for the Fighting Illini have experience. With a team ranked second in the nation last season brought quality transfer to help restock the team. Illinois in their firs two wins held opponents to 33.6% shooting and 33.3% from three. They dominated the glass and forced turnovers. Marquette faced two weak opponents and won both because they avoided an upset winning by five to New Hampshire. Marquette struggled shooting and defending the three point shot. Defensively they allowed 42.7% which is high considering the opponents were New Hampshire and SIU Edwardsville. Play Illinois -8.

Oregon St at Tulsa—Oregon St has three returning starters from last year’s tournament team. Six of their top eight scorers return from an Elite Eight team that scored wins in the NCAA tourney to Tennessee and Loyola Chicago. Tulsa returns only two starters from an 11-12 team a year ago. Golden Hurricane last year struggled to score and defense. They did turn the ball over a lot. Tulsa comes off a one point home loss to Air Force. Golden Hurricane is shooting only 41.9% and surrendering 47.8% as opponents this season are finding it too easy to score inside. Oregon St has defended well to start the year and looks to rebound after a loss at Iowa St. Play Oregon St -2.
North Dakota St vs. UNLV College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/15/2021
North Dakota St at UNLV—The Bison return all five starters back from last season. Team has eight of their top nine scorers from last year. Only one returning starter for UNLV. Kevin Kruger the son of Lon Kruger is in his first year as head coach. This is almost a complete restock of their roster. North Dakota St is off to an 2-0 start holding teams to 37.9% shooting with good interior defense. They are making 80% of their free throws. UNLV has struggled shooting the basketball converting 33.6% and 22.2% from three point distance against Cal and Gardner Webb failing to cover both games. Too much continuity with the Bison here.
