Air Force vs. South Dakota College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/11/2021
Air Force at South Dakota—South Dakota through injury and transfer lost their two stop scorers from last year that combined for 40 points per game. They look now into their supporting cast for more production scoring wise. This part of the country doesn’t attract many transfers. Air Force coming off a down season where they finished 5-20 overall and 3-17 in the Mountain West. Only two starters return from last year. Head coach Joe Scott is in his second tenure with the school entering his second year this time. Looks like Scott is going back to his Princeton roots and going to work the shot clock down with lots of passing and movement without the basketball. He has to get the Falcons competitive again and cutting down turnovers is a must. Play Air Force and South Dakota under 133.5.
Vermont vs. Northern Iowa College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/11/2021
Vermont at Northern Iowa—The Northern Iowa Panthers return all five starters from last season. They were a 10-15 team last year. They closed conference season strongly last year winning four of five until COVID knocked them out of the Missouri Valley tournament. Vermont returns four starters from a 10-4 team in the America East. They were eliminated in the semifinals of their conference tournament. Catamounts were tops in both offensive and defensive efficiency against the America East. Strong defending three’s and in shooting inside. Panthers were a bad shooting team a season ago. They sat last in three point shooting. Team was poor in defending threes, two point shots and turnovers. Poor start to the season for Northern Iowa as they dropped a 62-58 home decision to Nichols State behind 30% shooting and losing the rebounding battle by eight boards. Play Vermont +6.
UC Riverside vs. Arizona St College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/11/2021
UC Riverside at Arizona St—Sun Devils lacked size last year and it cost them in the win column. Team struggled to rebound on both ends of the court and scoring inside. Head coach Bobby Hurley used the transfer portal to address that area. Defense is also an area Hurley had in mind as he restocked his team. They opened with a 16 point win to Portland pulling down 18 more rebounds than the Pilots and allowing 41% shooting. Riverside opened with a 13 point defeat to San Diego St. Highlanders were held to 53 points and 39% shooting in defeat. Depth is an issue with Riverside as their bench did not contribute much scoring and they finished 6 of 22 from three. Ball handling was also an issue as the team committed 15 turnovers. Play Arizona St -9.5.

Cal St Fullerton at San Jose St—Tim Miles takes over at San Jose St. He was out of coaching for two years since leaving Nebraska. He has experience in the Mountain West as a head coach at Colorado St. Miles worked the transfer portal to stock his team. Fullerton returns four starters to a team that finished 6-10 overall. Titans defense was poor last year as the team sat 313th in defensive efficiency in the nation. Titans season began with a 84-77 defeat at Santa Clara where they sot 2 of 12 from three and surrendered 57% shooting to the Broncos. Tim Miles teams were fundamentally sound on defense and took care of the basketball. Shooting was the issue at Nebraska where he was there. But facing a team here with poor defense the Spartans should be competitive here. Play San Jose St +6.
